Thoughts

Thoughts of you go through my mind
As I slowly drift to sleep.
Your love was so hard to find,
But it is so easy to keep.
I won't forget the day
That I fell in love with you.
I knew, without you having to say,
That you loved me, too.
I don't know what I would do
If you weren't there to hold.
I only know that if I didn't have you,
My life would be lonely, barren, and cold.
I hold on to the moments that we share
Because they are sometimes few and far between.
You know that I will always care
Even if I don't always express what I mean.
I just want you to know
How much I really do love you.
And if I should ever have to let you go,
My heart would be broken in two.
