Firestarter

Start the spark;
Watch it grow.
The flash of your eyes
Smolders so slow.

My body heat rises
At just a grin.
A soft-spoken word
Doubles it again.

You're a firestarter-
Burning me up inside.
Feeling the flame's heat
Opens my heart wide.

You're a firestarter-
Setting me to blaze.
Making my voice smokey;
Can't see through the haze.

I let my mind drift
For only just a bit,
Imagining what's to come.
Ooh, my candle is lit.

Hotter and hotter,
Breathing becomes tough.
Focusing on you again,
Keeping my distance is rough.

You're a firestarter-
Burning me up inside.
Feeling the flame's heat
Opens my heart wide.

You're a firestarter-
Setting me to blaze.
Making my voice smoky,
Can't see though the haze.

Pounding in my veins,
Sizzling in my ears,
My body feels so good
Could bring me to tears.

Come put it out;
Give me what I need.
Finish what you started;
Don't make me plead.

You're a firestarter-
Burning me up inside.
Feeling the flame's heat
Opens my heart wide.

You're a firestarter-
Setting me to blaze.
Making my voice smoky,
Can't see though the haze.
