The Knot

Imagine the pattern of a knot
With three perfectly equal sides-
Each part exquisite in beauty,
but ever-changing as the tides.
If you were to look closely,
You'd see the mingling of ebb and flow-
One continuously becoming another
As they shift and grow.
Powerful, vigorous, and strong,
A living knot it appears to be,
Needing nurturing and attention
Just as surely as you and me.
Three sides and three emotions
Harmoniously existing in one place.
Before you, love, trust, and respect
Were not known in the same space.
Its priceless and rare composition
Is beyond stunning to see.
I'll forever cherish our beautiful knot
And all that it means to me.
