Daybreak

As the new day breaks
And the sun begins to shine,
My mind becomes alert
As I slowly open my eyes.
Thoughts of the hours just past
Fill my mind with images so sweet.
I look up and am taken aback
When your smiling eyes I meet.
Our limbs are entwined and embraced
Like a secret garden's vines,
The heat from our bodies-
Intoxicating as the best wines.
You pull me closer for a kiss
And my mind becomes a haze.
Whether its magic or real,
It sets my emotions ablaze.
Later, after you have risen to go
And I am alone in bed,
I carefully begin to replay
The scenes again in my head.
As I lay there grinning
And enjoying the bliss,
I can't help but wish
For just one more kiss.
